He has plans to break out among us.  And when ever God is on the move, there is always a time of upheaval that proceeds His actions.  It is almost like in the natural world when the animals in the wild begin to stir when they sense the earliest tremors of an earthquake.  God is moving... and the earth quakes!  Perhaps the most important aspect of the coming changes is that God is going to accomplish His changes through the “church” – but perhaps not the “church” that you and I have thought of most of our lives.  Get ready, because the single area of most noticeable change is going to be in the church!  I love the way the Message translation puts it in Hebrews 12:26-27 “His voice that time shook the earth to its foundations; this time--he's told us this quite plainly--he'll also rock the heavens: One last shaking, from top to bottom, stem to stern.  The phrase "one last shaking" means a thorough housecleaning, getting rid of all the historical and religious junk so that the unshakable essentials stand clear and uncluttered!”  A friend of mine put it this way, “The next move of God will make the 'Great Awakening' look small by comparison and it will be called,'The Great Inviting' – when God invites all of His people to work along side of Him!” 

God is about to walk among His people again... and nothing will ever be the same again. It will be something akin to Pentecost, the Renaissance, the Reformation, and Azusa Street Revival all rolled into one.  Jesus did not come to merely “save” His people and set them into neat rows in a church building... He also came to empower and work through His people to accomplish His plans to change the earth – and even the heavenly realms! If anyone needs evidence that we have never seen anything close to all that God has planned and how much He will be transforming the “church” as a result, all one needs to do is read Ephesians 3: 8-11, “Although I am less than the least of all the Lord's people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the boundless riches of Christ,  and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things.  His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.” 
Whew! How many of us can claim that we understand what all of the mysteries of God are about? Let alone clearly and cohesively explaining all of these mysteries to everyone on the earth? Or, lest we are so proud that we think we measure up to those criteria, how many of us have spent much time in the past instructing angels on these points? 

Yes, change is on the way – massive change! And you and I are going to be affected by it!  Maybe you have been waiting for this time to begin for most of your life or maybe you are planning to dig in your heels and try to hold on to the “church” of the past... but either way, the “church” is about to undergo a transformation that will affect this world beyond anything we have ever thought possible.  And, the time of change is already upon us!

In the coming weeks we are going to be sharing our perspectives about the changes that our ministry team see upon the horizon.  Obviously, we see only a small portion of what is taking place in the church today and we readily admit that our perspectives, like anyone else's, are by no means exhaustive nor perfect.  But we have enjoyed some insights which we feel God has led us into that may be helpful to “light a candle” along the way for those like minded people who feel confident that God is up to something in His church in these days and in the immediate days ahead. 

To that end, we will begin publishing a series of articles about change in the “church”, including one by Pat Quade, “The Only Home Of Throwed Rolls.” Pat is a prophetic voice that is a part of the ministry team on this site and in our local fellowship.  Please read the dream the Lord gave me back in 1996, “The Vision Of The New Tent,” (even if you have read it before) because it will help as a starting place to explain what we feel God has called us to be a part of in the coming days.  This article will be followed by a three part series of articles as a follow up to the 1996 vision which will help to put into perspective how the dream has played out in our lives and affected our ministry efforts over the past dozen years.  We will also be sharing about “impromp2”, which is the name of our local fellowships in New England, and our NextPhase” ministry which is a growing Circle of Friendships we enjoy with like minded groups around the world.  In the not too distant future, we will be offering Friendship Trips for people to come and share what we are enjoying in our fellowships in New England.  If you are interested, you will also be invited to go with us to visit some of these other groups around the world.  Each on is unique ans special. I can tell you this much, “It is going to be exciting!”  Don't be frightened – be involved!  Change is never frightening when you serve a God who doesn't change.  He remains the same loving, caring, and supportive One who will never leave us nor reject us.  You can come to enjoy change if you know Someone has everything under control.  In the coming days, I can assure you that God will be asking you to begin making changes in your spiritual life.  It may feel sometimes like a leap of faith to follow what God has called you to do.  Don't worry – that's how it has always been throughout history.  To enter the “Promised Land” one always has to cross a “river” to enter a land that will seem new, strange, and sometime a bit foreboding! But remember, it is either that or a lifetime living in the desert on the familiar side of the river.  But God is waiting on the other side and His promises are true.  Someone once said it this way, “Leap, and the net will appear!”
